QNUK L1 Mental Health Awareness ½ day training course
The QNUK level one award in mental health awareness is the idea introduction to understanding your own mental wellbeing. Employee happiness is dependent on their mental wellness. Participants will learn the skills and knowledge they need to deal with a mental health emergency in the workplace during this four-hour training session. Participants will receive the QNUK Level 1 award in mental health awareness if they complete the course successfully.
Pre- requisites: This qualification is available to those over 18 years. Candidates should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent
Progression routes: Learners may progress onto the following qualifications:
- QNUK Level 2 Award in Mental Health at Work (RQF)
- QNUK Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work (RQF)
There will be a written exam after the programme and learners must achieve a 70% mark or above to pass. Certification will be issued upon successful completion of your exam.
QNUK L2 Award in Mental Health at Work. 1 day
Become your workplace mental health champion. This one-day training builds on the Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness, allowing learners to become workplace advocates for mental health awareness. Participants will get the QNUK Level 2 Award in Mental Health at Work if they complete the program successfully. The qualification covers the most common mental health conditions, how to identify potential mental health concerns in colleagues and then how to discuss their needs and assist them to access suitable services and support.
Pre- requisites: This qualification is available to those over 18 years. Candidates should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent

QNUK L3 Award in Mental Health at Work. 2 days
Become your workplace mental health Ambassador. This two-day training builds on the Level 2 Award in Mental Health Awareness. With a responsibility to protect the health of employees at work, having mental health ambassadors highlights the organisations commitment to promoting positive mental health awareness. The qualification covers a range of mental health conditions; some more common than others, how to identify potential mental health concerns in colleagues and then how to discuss their needs and assist them to access suitable services and support. Participants will get the QNUK Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work if they complete the program successfully.
Pre- requisites: This qualification is available to those over 18 years. Candidates should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent

Mental Health risk assessment
Almost every day, people face varying degrees of stress. Stress can be caused by both emotional and physical reactions to work settings. In the previous year, nearly 70% of Irish employees reported some type of work-related stress.
Disagreements between employees and managers, as well as demands for workplace production, can all be sources of workplace stress. Work-related stress is frequently caused by a combination of high and little control over results.
Many employees are likely to experience stress in the workplace and not bring into anyone’s attention. Employers, on the other hand, have a legal obligation to ensure their employees’ safety, health, and well-being. Under Section 19 of the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act, 2005 and associated Regulations, it is the duty of the employer to identify the hazards and assess the associated risks in the workplace.
